Privacy Policy for PaperTrail by Nexverge

At Nexverge LLC, we value your privacy. This Privacy Policy explains how our iOS app, PaperTrail by Nexverge, collects, uses, and protects information.

1. Personal Information

We do not collect or store personal information unless you voluntarily provide it.

  • When you make in-app purchases, transactions are handled securely by Apple’s App Store.
  • We do not have access to your Apple ID, payment details, or billing information.

2. Email Opt-In

PaperTrail gives you the option to join our email newsletter.

  • If you choose to opt in, we collect only your email address through Firebase for the purpose of sending newsletters, updates, and promotional content.
  • Submitting your email is completely optional, and you may unsubscribe at any time.
  • Your email is not shared with third parties and is not used for tracking or advertising outside of Nexverge communications.

3. Account Information

PaperTrail does not require you to create an account.
Your data is stored locally on your device, and Apple’s systems handle purchase restoration and iCloud backups.

4. Data Storage

All receipt photos and spending data remain stored locally on your device.
We do not have access to, store, or transmit your receipt images or spending information to our servers.

5. Analytics & Tracking

PaperTrail uses Facebook SDK (Meta) solely to measure app installs and engagement generated from our Meta advertising campaigns.

  • Meta may collect device and usage identifiers (such as the Apple Advertising ID) to attribute installs and measure ad performance.
  • This data is handled under Meta’s privacy policy and may be used for ad optimization.
  • PaperTrail does not use Firebase Analytics, Crashlytics, or any other analytics tools at this time.

6. Advertising

PaperTrail does not display ads within the app.
Facebook’s data collection is limited to attribution and performance tracking for our own Meta ads.
We do not serve or display third-party advertisements.

7. Third-Party Sharing

  • Your email address (if provided) is only used internally by Nexverge for our newsletter.
  • Data collected by Facebook SDK is shared directly with Meta for ad performance measurement.
  • We do not sell or rent any personal data.

8. Children’s Privacy

PaperTrail is not directed toward children under 13.
We do not knowingly collect personal data from anyone under 13 years of age.

9. User Rights

Since PaperTrail stores user data locally, uninstalling the app removes all locally stored receipts and information.
If you subscribed to our newsletter, you may unsubscribe at any time via the link in our emails or by contacting us.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect changes in our app, practices, or legal requirements.
